Michelle Heckathorn proudly serves as an Ambassador to the Resurrecting Lives Foundation. She joined the Foundation in 2017.
Michelle graduated from the Academy of Court Reporting in 1997. She then went on to earn her RPR, Registered Professional Reporter’s license. She has been an RPR since 1997.
In her capacity as a reporter for almost 27 years, she has used her skills in a variety of ways. She has done real-time writing for the hearing impaired; has done real-time post-match interviews with players from the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) for national newspapers after the WTA Finals; and has written real-time for thousands of court cases including those of criminal, domestic, custody, civil, and labor and employment matters.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and reading. In addition to that, in her limited spare time, she enjoys volunteering at the local food pantry with her children. She has also taken on what is a rather enjoyable role to her of volunteering her time to help people “declutter” their homes in an attempt to reorganize their lives.
Michelle is married to her husband, Ed, who has been a deputy with the sheriff’s office for going on 25 years. They live in Pickerington, Ohio, and have four children.
