USN retired Chief Joe Pisano
VETERANS STANDING TOGETHER ACROSS AMERICA (VSTAA) project
a nationwide campaign designed to bring Veterans, their families, and communities together for Ceremonies of History, Honor, and Healing. Each state will have its own unique American Flag, and during the ceremonies, Veterans are invited to sign the Flag’s frame with their Rank, Name, Branch of Service, Time Served, and Signature.
These ceremonies are meant to strengthen the connection between Veterans and their communities—instilling a sense of belonging and patriotism to restore purpose and connection, reducing the risk of depression, isolation, and other brain health challenges that too often lead to suicidal thoughts or actions.
VSTAA is the creation of Pisano Artistry, by U.S. Navy Chief (Ret.) Joe Pisano, in partnership with Resurrecting Lives Foundation.
The art behind the Stand Together Flag.
The flag is the first 3-D art creation of U.S. Navy Chief (Ret.) Joe Pisano, a renowned San Diego artist. The piece consists of a waving American flag comprised of more than 4,300 drywall screws - personalized for each state - bordered by a frame panel which features signatures of veterans and family members signing in memory of a loved one.
Project Launch Events.
Resurrecting Lives Foundation (RLF) launched the Veterans Standing Together Across America (VSTAA) project at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on
November 1, 2023, and re-dedicate the project in San Diego on November 11, 2023, at Liberty Station, home of Chief Pisano’s art studio.
Please join us in this MOVEMENT.
Veterans Standing Together Across America (VSTAA) is filled with the Virtue of Hope and Reverence; the Value of Healing and Recovery; the Vision of Honor and the Resurrection of Patriotism and Unity - under the USA FLAG.
